We've scattered back through each National Draft of the past decade to uncover every club's bargain pickup.

This list looks at each club's ability to recruit young prospects in the National Draft, whether it be top-end talents or diamonds in the rough.

Each player was selected primarily by their value for pick, with many players being taken outside the first round. Some players have demanded a spot despite an early draft night selection, however these picks have been reserved for the absolute cream of the crop.

This list only includes National Draft selections - excluding Rookie and/or Mini Draft picks, while father-son and Academy selections have also not been considered.ย

13. Port Adelaide

Ollie Wines (pick 7, 2012)

Despite being selected early in the 2012 draft, Wines has provided excellent return as a contested beast for the Power during some high-achieving years.

He quickly emerged as a future star by averaging over 24 disposals per game in his second year on a preliminary final-finishing team. He would continue to improve individually until achieving one of the great individual seasons in 2021, winning the Brownlow, Port Adelaide's best & fairest and an All-Australian nod after averaging over 32 disposals per game in another preliminary final side.

After a disappointing 2022 season for Port Adelaide however, there is increased pressure on the now-28-year-old Wines to lead the Power back to the top end of the AFL for 2023 and onwards.

Still, he remains among Port Adelaide's greatest players of the last decade behind Travis Boak and the recently retired Robbie Gray.
