We've scattered back through each National Draft of the past decade to uncover every club's bargain pickup.

This list looks at each club's ability to recruit young prospects in the National Draft, whether it be top-end talents or diamonds in the rough.

Each player was selected primarily by their value for pick, with many players being taken outside the first round. Some players have demanded a spot despite an early draft night selection, however these picks have been reserved for the absolute cream of the crop.

This list only includes National Draft selections - excluding Rookie and/or Mini Draft picks, while father-son and Academy selections have also not been considered.ย

Brayden Maynard (pick 30, 2014)

Maynard is not as statistically accomplished as others on this list, but his notorious 'heart & soul' impact provides tremendous team value at Collingwood, and even played a considerable role in his recent 2022 All-Australian selection.

He has been a consistent contributor through seven years at the Magpies, taking the field 22 or more times every year since 2017 (excluding the shortened 2020 season).

Now 26 years old, Maynard is poised to play out his prime years in a potentially successful tenure at Collingwood, and one can imagine the roaring eruption of the Magpie army watching their adored defender receive a premiership medallion.
