Footy Prophet's SuperCoach must haves:
Footy Prophet name Adelaide backman Brodie Smith as the must have defender for 2016. Smith is valued at $415,500 and while he had an inconsistent year in 2015, he started the year with an average of 130.5 over the first two rounds and then finished off the season with three 100+ scores in the final five rounds. He also averaged 93.5 points in 2014, making him a great value for money pick up.
In the midfield, it is none other than Brownlow Medalist, Nat Fyfe who is the must have on-baller. Fyfe had a simply sublime season in 2015, scoring 100+ points in 15 of his 18 games last season, including a brilliant 162 in round two. It's hard to see the 24-year-old slowing down any time soon. While he is expensive at $670,600, he is still a definite must have this season.
Todd Goldstein was the standout ruckman in the competition in 2015 and his SuperCoach number reflected this. He is named as Footy Prophet's must have ruckman, priced at $695,100 with a projected average of 120.
In the forward line it's Melbourne youngster Christian Petracca, who is yet to play a senior game thanks to a season ending ACL injury in his debut year. The former No.2 draft pick is $123,900 and is described by Footy Prophet as "the single biggest must-have player in SuperCoach for 2016".
