A horror Saturday night for Richmond has seen another three Tigers added to a shocking injury toll, with Sam Banks, Maurice Rioli Jr. and Jack Graham all suffering cruel blows in the 91-point loss to the Bulldogs.

Adding to the sourness of the night, both Banks and Rioli had to be stretchered off the field after two gruesome collisions, the former being concussed in a heavy clash and the latter writhing in pain from what looked like a serious ankle injury.

Jack Graham will miss at least one week with yet another hamstring strain, adding to a substantial soft-tissue tally in his career.

"(Sam) Banksy's up and about now... he was concussed so he'll go into protocols," coach Adem Yze revealed post-game.

"He was walking around and was in good spirits... but it did look dangerous so we're glad."

"Jack Graham... felt tight in the hammy (hamstring)... he'll be out for a week or two."

"Maurice (Rioli), we're hoping it's just a rolled ankle, but whenever there's a rolled ankle it could be syndesmosis."

Richmond confirmed on Sunday that Rioli has suffered a syndesmosis injury and will likely require surgery.

The three injuries add to a long list of sidelined starters, with Tom Lynch, Jacob Hopper, Tim Taranto, Liam Baker, Jack Ross, Judson Clarke and Josh Gibcus all watching from the stands on Saturday.

The incidents also add to what was a horrific performance on the field, Richmond failing to fire a shot from the first bounce and failing to play with an adequate effort-level all night long.

Coach Adem Yze refused to condemn his side's effort despite the loss, putting the performance down to poor polish and method.

"Our execution and our method was off early," he said post-match.

"We just couldn't get our game going the way we wanted to.

"I can't fault our effort, we try... almost like we're trying too hard, we're slipping over and missing tackles.

"It's just our execution and our tackle technique.

"They broke a lot of our tackles... but our attempted tackles were okay."

Not yet half-way through the season, it doesn't get easier for Yze's troops over the next three weeks, a trip to the Gabba awaiting them next Saturday before meetings with in form Essendon and flag fancy Geelong.

Currently 17th on the ladder with one win from nine matches, the pressure on stars Dustin Martin and Shai Bolton continues to build in what is shaping as a forgettable season for the Tigers.
